"Hi, I’m Jennifer Moskoff.
I was born in Albany, New York December 12th 1976. I have a younger sister Sarah who continues to live in New York along with my parents Ron and Sharon. Growing up in upstate New York afforded me a lot of opportunity to explore the great outdoors. I love spending time in nature to relax and be in awe of God’s beautiful creations. Sedona, Grand Canyon, the mountains and lakes of Arizona with its vast sky are places I love to visit!
I have been a nurse for 24 years and have worked in all aspects of nursing and management including, Home health, Emergency Room and Assisted Living. Most recently, I’ve had my own consulting business for Assisted Living. I also worked for a home health company as Chief Training Officer, training new Care Managers for Humana. Prior to that, I’ve been Director of Nursing, Director of Marketing and Regional Nurse in Assisted living and Memory Care. Also, I’m a Licensed Assisted Living Manager in Arizona, and an Insurance Agent for Life, Accident and Health Insurance in Arizona. On my days off, I am an adventure guide with Pink Jeep in Sedona.
My passion is to help others achieve a better quality of life and peace of mind.
I’m so excited to be part of this wonderful community at Carefree Assisted Living Center. I look forward to meeting all of you. Please feel free to come by and say “Hi” when you get a chance".
Hobbies and Interests: I live in Sedona and have 4 children, Tivona 9, Gracie 13, Cody 17 and Krystine 22. I love spending time with my family and enjoy being outside in nature, arts and crafts, and listening to all kinds of music.

Arturo Bernal - Assistant Manager

Original Hometown: Soyapango, El Salvador
Education and Credentials:
* CNA (Calif) Graduate 1994 – Los Angeles CA
* AZ State Licensed Caregiver – 2005
* Continuing Education and Additional Training in Medication Management
* Graduated from Trident Continuation High School, Anaheim CA - 1992
Arturo Bernal has served dutifully as a Senior Level Caregiver and Med Tech at Carefree since 2005. His long-standing and committed work ethic was deservedly recognized in 2014 when he was also appointed our Assistant Director. Arturo (and members of his family) emigrated to the United States back in 1988 in the hopes of creating a wonderful new home and finding a spiritually rewarding career path. Despite not being able to speak a word of English, Arturo was determined to assimilate in a constructive way in his new-found home of Los Angeles CA and proceeded to learn English whilst successfully educating himself and ultimately graduating from High School in 1992. Upon completion of high school, Arturo was inspired toward a career in medical assistance by his sister, who was working at a local Los Angeles hospital. His first intern job was as a hospital aide and found that he enjoyed his experiences in this environment, at which he took the necessary courses to further his knowledge and graduated as a CNA in 1994. During his time in California, Arturo excelled as a CNA and Caregiver, working in specialized hospitals and care facilities dedicated to the treatment and care of Alzheimer’s patients. It was through these years that Arturo grew in his knowledge of caring for seniors, especially with those who were debilitated with Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Also during this time, Arturo and his wife Sandra often visited his sister, who had now re-located her life and career in Sedona AZ. He really enjoyed his time in this region and made plans with Sandra to also re-locate their lives and careers to the Verde Valley region of Arizona. In early 2005, that plan became a reality, when the Bernals moved to Cottonwood AZ and then purchased their first home in Camp Verde AZ. In keeping with his career passion, Arturo became Certified as a Caregiver in the State of Arizona and soon began working at Carefree – at first part-time, and later as a full-time member of the team. Arturo’s kind and compassionate demeanor, coupled with his well-renowned skills as a Senior Caregiver and Med Tech have proven invaluable to the many residents and their families over the past 15 years at Carefree.
Hobbies and Interests: Aside from caring for the residents at Carefree, Arturo is a committed husband to his wife Sandra (who also serves on the staff of Carefree) and newly adoptive parents to their wonderful 3 year old boy! The Bernal family also includes their 3 dogs, Coco, Precious and Foxy. Arturo is also a big Lakers basketball fan, and enjoys his travel vacation time, often spent visiting the towns and cities between Cottonwood and his former home of Los Angeles.
